It all began with a “Right-swipe” on a Christian Dating App, that my wife and I first interacted. From texts full of multiple laughs, curious questions, and in-depth conversation, we knew we had something. Get you someone who’s about as responsive to messaging as you are, and you’ve got a really good chance at making it. Kim and I always had good communication, and when we used that communication to express our love for not just each other, but additionally Christ, we thrived. Five months later we were engaged, and the following Spring we married.

I can honestly say we didn’t have much of a “honeymoon phase” as some might call it, as we knew right away the Lord had plans for us, and we were ready to work.

Kim was working on completing her path to becoming an Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and I became both an Ordained Minister, as well as a Licensed Life Coach Minister.

Life is such a blessing in every way, but you must be willing to make the most of any situation to truly appreciate it. This is precisely why we started A Christian Lens (ACL). We always needed a good visual on things to really gain clarity, but we cannot do that on our own. We have learned that it is only through the lens of Jesus Christ that true happiness, understanding, and appreciation of this world can be brought to focus. We know that God has blessed us with our job, our home, and especially each other. Our marriage thrives through only the Lord, and we desire very much to share what we have learned over the years with you all!

Jesus says in Matthew 12:33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit.” If we wish to fulfill this, we must do our part in ensuring we discuss and promote sound doctrine, and that is ultimately what drove us to start ACL.
